To me, the infrastructure and cost issue is obviously the problem, but when we are the ones saying it, we are called racist. Are the Canadians racist, too?

Lonewolf, the way Canada's system works is you register day one as a refugee (make a claim) and get legal until it is ruled on. That they are there now doesn't mean the claim will be granted. One of the reasons our govt doesn't like their system is Osama bin Ladin could apply today and be legal until sorted out, from what I understand.

Interesting article, I will henceforth let all my neighbors know that Canada calls them "refuges" and they are "seeking solutions" for them.

The funny thing is Canada has it's own racist problem. I have relatives their, and the French - English thing is pretty bad. Years ago , they Canadains in TOronto was blaming the CHinese for the crimes over there. It's illegal to do racial surveys, so the rumors continue to spread, and Anti- Chinese rhetoric grew. One of th cop was tired of this and decided to do his own survey despite the law, and found that their impression was wrong, and they mistaken the Crimes done by the another group as being performed by the Chinese.

There is also a city in Canada that passed a law detailing how immigrants should act. It would be considered racist for what they wrote down, accordin to American standards. When I was there, there was alot of resentment of Illegal Chinese coming to Vancouver. The funny thing is that the Canadians new that they only arrive in Canada because it's the easiest way to get to New York. They were just mad that they were passing through.

Of course not, but I have to be honest and say that perhaps the Canadians might wake up a little on this issue and stop trying to be holier than thou...especially when they are being hit by a small fraction of what is effecting the US. In the past, Canadian citizens have been quite vocal about the US dealing with tens of millions of illegal aliens. Canada seems to be considerably concerned over 220.

Dar, of course they are Racist. Anyone who complains or shows concern for a countries infrastructure in regards to immigration is automatically a racist. (wipes the sarcasm from my lips). Please note the reference to my home state of Florida where the housing market is terrible and construction is way down. This in fact helps cement my opinion that the illegal population is going where the employers will hire them. All the more reason I believe to penalize the employers heavily to dissuade them from such a practice.

Of course they are, anyone that doesn't bow down to the every whim of the illegal invaders must be racist. After all there can be no other logical reason not to go into bankruptcy to support a group of foreigners.

I found it interesting they called them refugees.Besides that tho...yes I figured crackdowns would just make them more mobile.especially when the crackdowns often don't include deporting anyone except those with warrants.I'll be interested in how this plays out.

Well that seems like a stupid policy.I hope we never do do that either.
