It will probably be within the next 24 hours, no one can tell you closer than that.

Perhaps you are getting nasty replies because you posted the same question 3 times and now you are posting this one. We are not your mentors. I don't care how or why your dog got pregnant (it's too late for that lecture). But getting advice off the internet is the MOST irresponsible thing you can be doing right now. You are going to get different advice depending on who answers. Do I know who you should listen to - yep - but sorry - ALL of this you should have thought and prepared for the past SIXTY-FIVE days.

Send a friend to the bookstore to pick up several books on whelping written by people whose qualification are blatantly stated on teh book - read fast.

And call your vet with your questions. You will get faster answers from the person who may need to actually assist you with the labor.

OK in most cases a dogs temp will go down to 98 or 99 degrees and then it's 24-48 hours.

Please email me at kathy_decaprio@yahoo.com I have some other questions that might help

My last litter.. Her temp dropped Friday.. She continued to eat ( cause she is a piggy ) til Sunday morning.. Then by a little after 11AM, she had her pup. It was day 67 for her.

Is her whelping box out of the way and quiet.. but she can get to it whenever she pleases? Is there a lot of commotion in the home.. I have seen females who were ready to whelp and someone stops by and they'll delay whelping til they feel it's safe.. WHen our girls are going to whelp, we put a sign on the front gate that says ' Having Puppies, come back later ' So as to not add even more stress to the whole situation.

Oh, you are not breeding for profit, THAT makes everything better! I don't care if you make a million bucks or not a dime, but either way, you better make dang sure that you know what you are doing or you are risking your dog's life. You obviously did not learn all you need to know, or you would no be here asking about it.
That is why people are getting nasty.

Ok,since this is your fourth post in an hour about this I think you should understand by now that your dog is getting ready to deliver. Keep an eye on her. Let nature take its course and for goodness sake call a vet if there are any problems. Do NOT ask for medical advice here first.

Should be very soon, but if they haven't started arriving by the morning get her to the vets as she may need some assistance. Pupus should be about an hour apart from each other and no longer than three hours. Good luck with the whelping...i can't wait til i get my brood *****...

62 days is gestation period for dogs. Temp is fairly normal. She could be having delivery problems or just a late delivery. To be safe I'd be in touch with a vet.

yes, it is a website designed to answer questions, not serve to guide the totally ignorant through something as complicated as the birthing process. Call a vet or get someone local who has been through this before and have them give you advice.
