in the Michigan or Indiana areas we had a Retriever for many years and really enjoyed him and I saw these dogs and felt like they would replace the dog we once had.

Comfort Retriever
(Miniature Golden Retriever)

Cocker Spaniel / Golden Retriever Hybrid

The Comfort Retriever is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Golden Retriever and the Cocker Spaniel. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. There are many mixed breeds in shelters who would probably suit you and Nova Scotia Duck Tollers are smaller dogs that looks very close to a Golden Retriever and make nice active pets/hunters. No reputable breeder breeds mutts as there are millions dying for lack of homes. Try Petfinder.org, Petharbor.com or google retriever rescues in your area. There are many diff breeds of retrievers, Labs, Goldens, Flat coat, Curly coat, Tollers and many come in diff builds for hunting stock. My Lab is a field bred dog and is taller, less stocky and has less hair than a show Lab. Many of the top hunting breeds differ from their show ring brethren.

this is a mix between a cocker spaniel and golden retriever. it is not a breed, so there are most likely no breeders. sounds to me like another con artist making up a butt load of money on mixed breed dogs. do not fall for the "designer dog" bull crap

That is not a breed.

There several breeds of retrievers, the lab and golden are two examples.

No dog will ever replace the one you once had.

You can find Golden Retriever and Cocker Spaniel mixes in just about any shelter in either state.

No responsible breeder would create these dogs on purpose.
