I would never suggest buying a dog online, but here you go:
http://www.akc.org/breeders/index.cfm
http://www.petfinder.com/
http://www.puppyfind.com/

Try your local shelter - they have plenty of dogs that are in need of a forever home.

I cannot stress enough that it is NOT a good idea to buy from on-line breeders. You will have no clue what you're going to get. you don' know anything about the parents or reputability of the breeder. Go on-line to the American Kennel Club or search for breed rescues or try local shelters. Getting any pet on-line is a bad idea. You're just opening the door for trouble and possibly supporting a puppy mill type situation.

Going on line to look at dogs at your local shelter on http://www.petfinder.com or looking for breeders in your area is ok. I wouldn't recommend buying a puppy online though, there are lot of puppy scammers on line and you could end up with a sick pup, or no pup at all. Of course this happens AFTER you've sent the money.

www.puppyfind.com is a great site! There are all kinds of breeds available, inlcuding mixes! Also you can browse by gender, size, upkeep, homeless, etc. You get to view pictures of the puppies and read about them, plus emailing is easy! Most breeders offer shipping for a small fee. My puppy's mom and dad were bought from that site, and he is great, so of course I would recommend it!!!
