I can't say I have literally seen Jesus in that return gaze but I think he wants us to look at everyone, friend, foe and stranger alike as if they WERE Him in the flesh and treat them accordingly. And I think He knew when He said it that it would be one of the most difficult tasks He ever set up. I try with all my strength to do this and fail on my own too many times.....that is why I have to lean on Him because without Jesus I am less than nothing. I have, however, often seen angels peering out at me from many unlikely pairs of eyes.

My granny was that way, everyone thought so. The love that shined in her was amazing. She'd turn her little face up and beam a smile in your direction and you had the sudden urge to laugh with delight.
She was the kind of little old lady that people flocked to see and get advice from. I remember that shopping trips to the grocery store took sometimes 2 hours because everyone wanted to talk to her.
Absolutely amazing woman, I'm privileged to have known her :)

Nope...
I see love in a friend, strangers have to earn trust through their behavior, enemies are not to be trusted (or they wouldn't be my enemy).
