How much should I ask for as my pay per hour?

I live in south west PA and need to know how much to ask for a service industry job on a per hour basis. What is a good starting wage to ask for?

What do the classifieds list for those wages ?
How long have you been doing it ?
Any special skills you have ?

Service will start at minimum but go up with special factors like extra skills and excellent references .
