the space or "gap" is called a diastima. You can get a few things done. You can close this space with traditional braces or invisalign braces, but this will cost up to about $5,000 and time (up to about a year or so). You can also option to have cosmetic work done 1) Veneers 2) Full Crowns (also known as caps) 3) Luminers. With Veneers and crowns the dentist will take off tooth structure, which maynot need to be done-- taking off healthy tooth structure will cause sensativity with cold and hot foods. If too much tooth structre is taken off this could lead to root canals. With Luminers this will not happen. Luminers are like fake finger nails, they go over the natural tooth. What is good about Lumminers is that no tooth structure will be taken off and the lab can make your teeth a little longer and wider. Depending on the size of your "gap" you may want to get the two teeth on either side done also so the two font teeth (also known as teeth # 8 and #9) will not be so wide. YOu may also want to consider geting your teeth whitened. YOur dentist will pick a shade to match your exisiting color, but if your teeth are a little yellow and LATER you decide you want your teeth a whiter those teeth will not change shade. Lummiers at my office run about $1,000 per tooth. But ask your denitst office if they offer Care Credit, with Care Credit you can choose to have 0% intrest financing for up to 12 months if you need more time they can finace up to 60 months with an APR of 11.9% (which is lower than most credit cards! and there is no pre payment penality) If you have insurance they may not cover for crowns, lummiers or veneers, but it is always best to ask for a Pre- Determination if you do. Hope everything turns out great!

Braces can help, but if you want a quick fix, they chisel the two teeth away and put a cap over the two teeth, that look like your two teeth, and those two caps (fake teeth) don't have that gap.
That's what my mom did. Her teeth looked like Elton John's, but not anymore.

You could get veneers, which is teeth bonded over your teeth but will fill in the gap.

go to the dentist, if you leave it too long you might end up looking like a rabbit.
