I had a golf-ball-sized tumor removed from my rat's armpit area for $327. It included the initial vet visit fee, the biopsy fee, and the medication afterwards. Is this a reasonable price, or did I get ripped off?

It depends on where you live. I was quoted about the same, $45 for initial visit, about $200. for surgery and meds, and then a biopsy would be additional. I have heard that some communities have vets that charge less...
Good luck to you!

My rat had a similar tumor, and I was quoted about $220. (and this was at a small, older practice.)

that's a helluva lot of money for a rat.

I love my pets but I dont know if I couldve spent that much on my pet rat. If I had one.

That is probably the regular price. I would have just put mine to sleep and not paid that much money.

Dunno the answer to this but for ur future rats, have them spayed or neutured, it helps to avoid to formation and growth of tumors.
