There used to be a radio station here in the Detroit area (K-Rock 97.1) that used to play nothing but late 80's hair metal on Saturday nights and they called it "Spandexpalooza" LOL.
I can think of a few songs that would more or less define what that was all about. Good time for awesome guitar solos back then! What do you think?

The 1st song I think of is Seventeen by Winger.....then a few others.
Talk Dirty to Me....Poison
Round and Round.....Ratt
In My Dreams......Dokken
Youth Gone Wild......Skid Row
Up All Night......Slaughter
White Lion......Little Fighter
Warrant....Down Boys
Lita Ford....Kiss Me Deadly
Faster Pussycat.......House of Pain
Firehouse......Love of A Lifetime
Kix..........Don't Close Your Eyes
Cinderella........Shake Me
That's 13 songs that I instantly think Hair Metal.
You guys made this kinda tough.....lots of good answers. I have never really considered Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Scorpions or Ronnie James Dio hair metal though. Whitesnake is kinda borderline but I kinda buy that more than the others. Bands like Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister could qualify they weren't a big factor by the late 80s as much as others.
That leaves only a couple choices:
