Could someone who is an avowed anti-war activist please list for me the hallmarks of your ideological stance?

Also, is there such a thing as a 'good war' (one that is unavoidable and morally justifiable)?

Wow, I've never seen so many people try to answer a question then avoid that question.

You're mistaking anti-war with anti-this war.

When we went into Afghanistan, it was the right thing to do.

Iraq was not the right thing to do. There were no WMD's, and if it were really about freeing people from a dictator, then why stop there? The world is full of dictators.

If it were really about 9/11, then why Iraq? The 9/11 attackers were all Saudi Arabian with the exception of one Egyptian.

If it were really about terrorism, then the job should have been finished in Afghanistan and not diverted to Iraq.

War is never good, but are there wars that are unavoidable or morally justifiable, sure. Iraq was neither.

I am against quagmires.

Good Wars:
Civil War
World War I and II
First Gulf War.

Those wars were about liberation of the oppressed.
Korea, Viet-Nam and the current quagmire are about telling a people how they should live. The American Government does not have the right to force their way of life on others.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Protecting our country from invaders would be morally justified. That is, if you are a loyal American.

the war in iraq has nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks.

the war in iraq has nothing to do with american security - general petreus said as much when asked.

the war in iraq makes the war on terror worse not better.

simply put, there is no reason for this war, other than to give large contracts to corporations.

the war is bush's 'abortion' if you will...
