Talk your dad into letting you have the dog. Its 3 against 1. You deserve the dog.

Your aunt should not have given you a pet without first consulting both your parents. That was rude on her part and very disruptive.
Since the damage has already been done. You can try talking your dad into keeping the dog and hope it works.

Maybe you and your mom could talk to your dad and find out why he doesn't want a dog. If it's because he doesn't want to take care of it, maybe you could agree to take on all the responsibility for the dog so your dad won't have to. But, he's your dad (and I'm assuming you're a kid), so he gets the final say. Respect his decision.

One should never ever purchase or accept a dog if all parties in the home are not in agreement. This is your dad's home as well and if he does not want a dog it is not fair for you or your mom to force him to accept the dog.
No one should ever purchase a pet as a gift for anyone either as situations like this often occur and in the end it is the dog that suffers.

well, your aunt should never have got you a pet without asking your mom AND your dads permission, if your dad says no then he says no, its his house, even if your mom does like it they have to both be in agreement. Dogs can do a lot of damage to a house, between shedding, chewing, scratching, digging & not to mention getting housebroken & if he is already, theres always a chance of an accident. & can you afford to feed it & take to the vet yourself, or is your dad expected to do this too??? you should really listen to your Dad :) & your aunt should be ashamed of herself!

if your dad will not have the dog could your aunt look after the dog , and you and your mother could vist the dog and take her out for walks.
