My boyfriend and i have been dating for around two months now, and he still hasn't met my parents. I am in 10th grade and he's a freshman in college but we're only two years apart. I've mentioned meeting my parents to him, but every time we talk about it, it gets nowhere. Our relationship is pretty serious, but to see him i usually have to either sneak out at night or tell my parents im meeting a friend. I'm starting to feel really guilty...

kk forst of all, its not illegal to go out w/ him.
its only illegal if hes 4 years older than u.... and u have sex
but i think u should tell ur parents u have a bf in college bfore u bring him ovr
and once they know, tell him ur having a dinner and ur parents would really luv 2 meet him
and u want him 2 ***

Meeting the parents is the first step toward marriage. You may be two years apart in age but you are 3 years apart in schooling and he is out there experimenting in a different environment (and when did he become a freshman, just this month?) I would be edgy about the relationship as a parent and edgy as a college freshman.

Either he is SHY or just thinks for some reason they might not accept him as your boyfriend and to him it may be easier to avoid all issues til he is ready ..Heck my daughters boyfriend didn't come around for almost a yr.. HE is just VERY SHY and gets intiminated still around us and all those he isn't close to . He is getting much better over time. but don't force him or you will be alone more I think. Ask him outright and if he is shy or has reasons ,,just give it time ok. GOOD LUCK!

Never mention it again to him but dont get to serious physically with him until he is the one to initiate ... sometimes it is freaking to some boys to meet parents but if they are so serious they do it no matter.

I think he is scared to meet them. Maybe because he is older and you are under 18. Ask him what the problem is. Why do you have to sneak aroung???

maybe he thinks things are going to fast, 2 months is not such a long time.. maybe his not ready yet.. When he'll be ready he will let you know, parents can be intimidating.. " so what are you plans with my doughter?" lol

Maybe he thinks you are trying to run him to the alter by introducing your parents to him. Or he is ashamed of being seen with you.

He doesn't want to get on their bad side by letting them know that he's dating a minor.
