DON'T! Never forget them! I've had my heart broken before, so much so that I couldn't date another girl for 4 years! I was devistated! I spent a lot of time hating, regretting, trying to forget. It wasn't until I embraced my loss, and the things I learned in the process until I was able to love again. I'm in a new relationship, 8 mos., things are going great, and I'm in love! But I think about lost-love every day, and what each of us did wrong, and what could have been done differently.. and I'm thankful for the good things that came out of the lost-love. Good luck! and NEVER FORGET! :)

Time Alan time. Allow yourself time to grieve the end of this relationship. The human heart is a pretty strong instrument and will heal itself although at the time it may seem unlikely. Do not go out and jump from the fire into the frying pan but give yourself time to heal and before you know it you'll be ready and able to give your heart to another and to love once again.

Better question, why would you want to forget someone you've loved? Is there some fear or guilt attached to your relationship with this person? Did he lose all that ever attracted you to him? If you loved him, you won't, but I'd move on anyway and ask myself the questions above.

You won't! If you truely loved them.. they are in your heart and part of you. Yes, time will help ease pain but the memories will never go away.

You don't - you never do. There'll always be a place in your heart for them. But you do move on, and grow, and realize that they were good for you at that time, but now is no longer time for them.
