My poodle/schnauzer had bad dandruff/skin flaking all his life. I know this sounds odd but you might not want to bathe him as much as you do, because you could be stripping his skin of his own natural oils and irritating it causing the dandruff to get worse and his skin itch more. Since he's a puppy though, you should get special shampoo and there's even lotion from your vet's.
Dandruff can also mean your dogs having an allergic reaction to something, or your dogs food may be not getting enough fatty acids in his diet.

You'll have to get some moisturizing shampoo from the vet. It's medicated, and gets rid of the dandruff pretty quickly. Petstores like Petsmart, or Petco have large selections of shampoos for dogs, and they might have something a little cheeper. But I tell, the medicated shampoo is the best.

I've never heard of doggie dandruff, but I know that their skin can flake if it is sensitive or if the dog has some sort of skin ailment. Perhaps it is allergic to fleas, or it might be having a reaction to it's flea collar or neck drops. It might even be a mild form of mange. If you can rule out fleas of flea control products, and if you've tried dandruff shampoo and that doesn't work, you should ask the vet.

You could try bathing him in Johnson s Cradle Cap shampoo. the one they use for babies. It worked for one of my Goldens who had dandruff as a puppy.
My Vet recommended adding a teasopoonful of Evening Primrose Oil to her food once a day.

I suggest getting some dandruff shampoo from the vet or pet store, look for shampoo for sensitive skin or it is possible that you dog might have dermatitis.
My dog had it and with some special shampoo its cleared up well!

Try using "HyLyte" its a soapless shampoo available at most vets and sometimes PetSmart and other stores. If your in a hurry try baby shampoo or soap. They are also non lye based and wont try out their skin as bad.
