i got my ps2 4 years ago. i play it alot. most of my friends have been saying it only has a 5 year lifespan

I think a PS2 can last as long as another other electronic device like a television as long as you take good care of it.
I got my first PS2 when they first came out, but an accident happend and my PS2 fell off my T.V. and I had to buy another one.Then I bought a new PS2 later on the same year my first one broke in 2003 and that PS2 has run perfectly without a problem since I bought it.

probably like 10 years. my nintindo has lasted forever! ive had it since i was a little girl. lol your ps2 will last long to.

it will last long if you take good care of it and maintaining it, i have a FAT PS2 SCPH- 30000(jap. version)it still working just a bit dirt but i clean it, i bought it 6.5 yrs ago.
