sir you have two volvo's in good shape. if it were me, i think perhaps a purchase of something that came with a deed instead of a title might be in order, i would look at:
[vacation retreat home, a warehouse that could be converted into condos unimproved water/lake front acreage or a college pre pay plan for your children] [something i wish i had done] even if your child[ren] are newborns right now i suspect you will be giving driving lessons in these same cars.

To be honest with you buying a new XC60 might be a little hard to do. The reason being is that they haven't been released yet and there aren't any plans to release it til very late next year or early 2009. Now if you do want it a little early you might want to check out the 2008 Land Rover LR2. It is basically the XC60 in a Land Rover suit. The great thing about that is it uses the Volvo AWD system, the I6 that the XC60 is going to use and a lot of the safety features also at a price of just over $40,000 with navigation and all the bells an whistles.

Does your "friend" tell you when to change the roll of toilet paper in your bathroom as well. Is there a reason he want`s you to spend money for no reason? A 4-5 year old car that is not causing any problems does not need to be replaced. A friend who is telling you what do do should be replaced. If you do buy another car for the wife , does your friend want your older Volvo? Start telling him he should buy a new car every 3-4 years and that he should upgrade his kitchen with all new appliances and to make sure he has all the latest stuff made of stainless steel with granite counters and floors, Just for his wife.

you can decide with your experience on how your volvo xc90 gets along with you, like if you dont have much problem on maitenance, parts, usage & most of all troublesome accident. to me owning a car that is trouble free & accident free is one of a life's luck & I really consider it a good car. considering a suggestion is something else when it comes to decision time to change with a new one & the show of feelings to your wife coz I'm sure your wife would love to have a new volvo for her especially when it comes from you & when you do you timed it on a special occassion as a gift.

Volvos are built to last (with proper maintainance!) - so just drive them f-o-r-e-v-e-r!.....Or give it to me :) I've been driving a 1990 740 that is in near new condition with 160000 miles and I do plan on driving it for as long as i can. Theres just no reason to blow money on a new car. Do what anyone with a brain would do -invest your money in something that makes you money! :)

Also, the XC90 is gorgeous, there's no reason to replace it until Volvo comes out with the something ridiculously better.
