I got small tattoo on the inside of my wrist last friday... the scabbing and flaking stage is just about over.... I'm now noticing a few things about it that need to be fixed, how long should I wait before I go back and get it done?

i just got a tattoo on the top of my foot last night..my tattooist said i had to wait at least 6-8 weeks so that it is completely healed before she can touch it up, because if you dont wait until its completely healed and she tattoos it..she is pushing dead skin cells back into your body and that can cause staph infection and you can die from that.

I'm having a similar issue, and I'm going to wait about a month, until the raised parts of the skin start to go down as well. Intial healing may be over, but it will still be a couple weeks before the scar tissue from the tattoo "settles."

Of course, it depends on how fast you heal. I'm a pretty quick healer, so a month for me if fine. For you it might be a little more, or a little less.

I think it's at least a month, but I don't remember what my tattoo guy said last time. I still haven't gone back for the touch-up because I'm deciding if I want to incorporate that particular tattoo into a larger design.

Wait a month or two until it's completely healed, otherwise it will still be tender and will hurt more the second time around.

As soon as the scabbing and tenderness is over then I would go and get it fixed..they shouldnt charge you for this if its something they missed or didnt color in completely.Good Luck
