Yes. She would periodically go back to her ex boyfriend, who would then get her back into the heroin game. When she got too strung she'd come back to me and clean up. Things would start going well and then"Along came Jones." It finally occurred to me that she was incapable of loving anything but heroin. She died from an overdose a few months after our final breakup.
