What is the Purpose of the Bible...? This morning I posted this on my Blog.

I have come to this conclusion... AND... I would appreciate a response from those that Really KNOW... JESUS...!

Here is my conclusion...

(Acts 26:18) in order to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, so that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me [JESUS].

(Acts 26:18) in order to
open their eyes
so that they may turn
from darkness
to light,
and
from the authority of Satan
to God,
so that they
may receive remission of sins
and
an inheritance
among those
who are sanctified by
faith in Me [JESUS].

Thanks, RR

It is to help us grow in Christ and show the lost how they may get saved. It shows us what's wrong and right and helps us through life. It is God's Words in a book. It's what He wants us to know.

The HOly Bible is to to tell us who God is . what sin is, who the devil is and how to battle the devil according to Gods word. IT is to tell us who we are in Christ, and let us know we have the HOly Spirit power to overcome sin.
God wants us to Know HIm and of the plan HE has for us all and to tell us we each have the right to choose for Him or for the devil. There are no other options. God wants us to know we can be forgiven for our sins, and given a new heart that will hate sin as Jesus hated sin and that thru obedience, as Jesus obeyed the Father, we have the power to overcome all sin. HE tells us of Heaven, and the plan of salvation, and of all HE has to send to us, blessings to overflow and HE also warns us of how badly the devil wants to be sure that we receive none of this, and that we lose the prize of salvation that we were given. Devil tells us we cant stop sinning, or that God isnt real, anything and everything he can to keep us from the full word of God and the plan HE calls us to.
We are all called, but only a few will hear , receive and answer the full Call of God IFYOU LOVE ME
That is our high calling. YEs, we are saved by JEsus, absolutely, no other way, and Jesus is our example of just how to do everything. IF ONLY ALL WOULD HEAR AND RECEIVE THE FULL CALL OF GOD.
We are called from darkness into the bright light of God, to Gods authority and to the authority HE gives us over the devil. Once we do that, we can receive fully from God. Blessings still come from obedience, and disobedience still leads to curse. absolutely. Preach on, press on with Jesus, and you will be blessed to overflow. I ask God to bless you to fullness... Press on....

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
Psalm 119:105

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In Him was life; and the life was the
light of men." John 1:1,3

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day...... And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God." Ephesians 6:13,17

So, the Word of God shines a light so we can see where to go, it instructs us in life, and it is a weapon against evil.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God:

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16,17.

"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." - 2 Peter 1:21.

The Bible claims special power:

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." - Hebrews 4:12.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17.

Jesus said:

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." - John 6:63.

The Bible commands the believer to study the scriptures:

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15.

for training, rebuke & correction in rightousness.... and I believe that the word is God therefore He is showing himself thru His Holy word that we may know Him....so for all those who say that God will not show Himself, they are sadly mistaken because He shows Himself in every word (truth) of the Bible....God Bless!!

To post facto document something that was told as rumor for decades before it was written down, with the idea that, if it's written, it must be true.
