It's St Joseph. You will need faith for this. It's not a good luck charm.
Try eliminating clutter and letting more light in. Put things in storage. Tidy up the yard and clean the garage. Paint walls a neutral color. Get rid of stuff you don't need by a yard sale, donations to charity, ebay or freecycle.org. Organize.
Regrout tile in the bathroom. Repair loose tiles. Patch any holes in walls. Steam the carpet or remove them and use area rugs.
When people come into a home they are looking for how their furniture will fit and how the layout of the home will suit their families' needs. If the place is in good structural and mechanical condition and is in a good location, you shouldn't have a problem.
Check out HGTV.com for plenty of info. There are many shows on that channel and videos on the website that can help you.
The next thing to consider is whether your real estate broker is doing the job right.
Good luck with the sale of the house. As for the statue, if it's not coming from the heart, it's not gonna truly work.
To Lucan...is it George Carlin?

Last I knew dead bodies buried on the property were not good for house sales. However, maybe bury one of the neibors kids in your backyard and put up a gravestone saying "Here lies Saint Joseph"

You would seriously rather search for a statue of a saint to put in the ground to help you then to reach out to your Heavenly Father who has the most power and can do ANYTHING? I will pray for you to understand what's wrong with that picture....

What matters most is getting your heart ready & willing to do what God desires, in all matters in life. HE is..."the only wise God." Cultivate faithfulness in your heart toward God. When this happens, your are more confident in prayer, and God answers prayers of faith from those who are seeking Him, believing that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
