I also think that if the price was right that Teresa Earnhardt would sell DEI. It is a shame that she couldn't have been a little more giving in letting Dale Jr. have part ownership in DEI.I think that she messed up cause I think that Dale Jr. was one of the better drivers with DEI. I 'am sure that someone might think different.I think that if Dale Sr.was alive things would be different.

I see Dale, Jr. in the #3 or the #25 (or 5) Bud car next year. He has said that he really does not want to expand JR Motorsports to run Cup. DEI has proven that they cannot put Jr. in a competitive ride. Gibbs is a long shot and any other teams are out of the question. Note: Dale Earnhardt Incorporated was named as such by Dale Earnhardt, Sr. when he started the company, long before Jr. ever drove a Cup car (he won two Busch titles for DEI).

Did DEI screw up, no. It's all about the money and Teresa didn't want to give up ownership. I personally have mixed feelings about but everyone else hates teresa for it.As for the ownership change, they've already kinda done that. Ginn Racing combined with DEI for the sake of money once again. Ginn has a lot of money and DEI has had success. DEI did screw up by not getting Kyle Busch or some other young talented driver. Only Truex and Mark Martin will have any success for them next year, and Martin only on a part-time basis.

I think there will be some sort of change, Teresa must be a very shallow person. Losing Dale Jr. will probably turn out to be the worst mistake DEI has made.

DEI will have more success next year with Mark martin and Truex both winning races. Dale Jr will languish through another winless season at HMS. Teresa Earnhardt will eventually buy out Hendrick.

Only time will tell...I just hope when teresa decides to retire or leave the business later down the road she will let dale sr's children have the company with Dale Jr running it.. By letting Dale Jr go they will see what good equipment and technology can do for a driver, maybe DEI will step and improve by him leaving...I think they are going to have a hard time watching Jr and all his success that he is going to have next yr at HMS.
Go Dale Jr & HMS

As always, its will be all about money. Losing the $$$ from Budweiser will hurt a lot. No telling how much more money Jr. was bringing in to DEI. All that has to be replaced, and now they will be running four cars. Do they have a 4th major sponsor yet (and is Menard's really a major sponsor)?
I think they will be hard pressed to keep 4 cars in the top 35 next year and DEI could be like Ginn two years from now.

Yes. But I dont believe there will be a buyout or ownership change in the near future. There is till Kerry and Jeff Earnhardt in the pipeline.

Theresa will NEVER give up anything about DEI that is y Jr left. Heck yes they screwed up by losing him. Please tell me the difference between the Jr's. Who has been around longer - who has the family tradition in NASCAR - who do the NASCAR fans identify with most ? it sure isnt truex. She fell on her face with the loss of JR.

Dale Jr just left DEI to race for Hendricks. He still owns a lot of stock in DEI.
