ok my gf is getting me a new guitar for my birthday and i ask her what she wanted for he birthday, her bday is the 29 of this month i mean i have an idea of what she wants she wants a bass drum. do you think i should get it for her and just suprise her with it or should i just take her to the movies like she asked for? i mean i have alot of money and her bass cost 499$ and my guitar cost 399$

She obviously wants a bass drum but she doesn't want to flat out ask for it because of the price, which is why she said she just wants to go to the movies. I think she would be dissapointed on the inside if she didn't get the bass drum but she wouldn't show it or tell you.
I say get her the bass drum since you have enough money and do something sentimental like she wants by taking her to the movies and spending time with her.

If you have so much money than do both take her to the movie first and when the date is over take her to place of the drum and give it to her..she'll think all you really did was take her to the movie...or a better idea if you dont live together than find a way in her bedroom and put it on her bed so when you drop her off at night she wont suspect a thing and then when she goes in her bedroom she will see it and freak...if you do live together you can do the same thing just when u get home tell her you are gonna take a shower and she will find her way into the bedroom

If you and your girlfriend have a good steady relationship I would strongly suggest getting her the bass drum. Especially since you can afford it and she knows it. She must be a very sweet girl to suggest just a movie but everyone loves a surprise and getting what they really want. Do not skimp out on this one. She loves you enough to get you the guitar then you in turn should give her the same respect.

I would say to use your best judgement. If money is not an option..do both. I would do both just cause I love doing things for people. She will not only be estatic about the bass drum but going to the movies, too? You'll be the best person ever to her. I would do what you feel like doing..to make you and her happy. Take her out to the movie, then at the end of the night suprise her with the drum.
Its like this, have you ever open al your gifts on christmas, and then find out theres, one more......it feels awesome.
Make sure you wrap it to, a nice bow and card to a girl means you took the time and that means more than anything to them.
Ya I know the questions was for girls only, but they never say what they really mean, if they did theyd be men and that would suck.

A lot of women would get really mad if they spent a lot on you and you only took them to the movies.
They might tell you to not spend the money . . . but believe it will most likely make her angry. Not just because of the money because I am sure she put thought into your gift. If you only take her to the movies, there is no thought there.
She probably will not tell you she is mad - but a few days or weeks later when she seems REALLY cranky and you ask what is the matter - the sh - - will hit the fan.
Take her to the movies and then take her home (or where ever) and present her the drum.
Get her both!!!!

I think you are an absolutly great boyfriend to start off. Lol, sorry, a bit of jealousy. =) Anyway, I think you should do both. Give her the bass drum first, then after she's all excited and surprised, take her to the movies to have a nice, relaxing night. Sounds romantic to me. ;)

I would Buy it and put it in the garage, or somewhere where she will not see it and I would take her to the movies and then show her afterwords her New Bass Drum. It will light up her night. Surprises are good.

Quite honestly, as a girl myself, when I say I don't want anything for my birthday except one thing, it actually means we want you to surprise us....& get what we asked you already for.
So go with a trip to the movies and surprise her with a bass drum. She will be delighted on the fact that you pay so much attention to her that you are able to tell what she wanted without her actually telling you.
