there is this guy. he's one year older than me, but i don't think that's the problem.
i REALLY like him and i've known him since 5th grade. people say he likes me, but i'm still confused. he's my neighbor so we talk a lot, but still . . .
there's a lot of competition because every girl in his grade AND mine are in love with him.

Just be yourself. Invite him over for dinner with your family and get to know him in your environment. Be his friend and when he is ready, he will choose someone if he wants to date. It took my boyfriend 2 years and we are in our 30's to decide to date me. We were good friends until then and we communicate and know each other better than if we just jumped into the dating thing. You cannot make someone choose you, but you can be yourself and the right person will come along, him or another guy, and sweep you off your feet when the timing is right.

Well i think you maybe have an advantage because you live by him, if you really like him don't wait around be brave say you know there is a film on the picture's you would like to see would he like to go with you? or something like that leave it to long an someone else will ask him

Get your mind straight and ask him whether or not he likes you as much as you like him.
If he says no, then that's okay. Move on with life.
Since you guys are neighbors, perhaps he'll learn to like you as much as you like him seeing as how you might spend time with him a lot.

Ask him if he'd like to come around for dinner sometime as you would like to try out a new recipe and you trust his judgement :-)
