I have to make a presentation in my social science class,more like a discussion of a chapter and I really feel nervous,most of the time I hate to be in the spot light and the nerves tend to betray me and take control over me.What can I do to control that? I really wish to feel comfortable and to make this presentation like is not a big deal. I would really appreciate your help!!

Be best prepared for it. If you are really prepared, you can confidently think that you know your report better than your audience. Practice your presentation several times to different groups of people (friends, relatives, etc.) and ask for feed back and suggestions for improvements. Don't ask for negative comments only. It is good to know the good points you have that you can bank on for added confidence.

The most important thing is to be really well prepared. Think of some talking points ahead of time, and make notes.

Pick out two or three of your friends in the classroom and speak to them. Look around the room where they are sitting no one will notice that you aren't speaking to the whole class.
