my neighbors are blasting sitar music out of the house with all the windows open and i can even hear it upstairs in my house...do i bring over some samosas and join the party or knock and the door and tell them to keep it down? isn't it ramadan? what should i do it's really getting on my nerves but they are my neighbors and i don't want trouble. i guess i could just go out--should i ask for spending money since they are driving me out?

I had the same thing happen to me and i tried to talk to them and work things out, but they would not listen. I finally had to call the cops and they came over and told the people to turn it down. The people never knew what neighbor called and so far it has worked

This is really a nuisance to everyone.Thing is we cant do any thing other than informing the police or whoever can approach them legally.If not blast the whole house with some explosives.These kind of people lives every where in the world.They just try to show the world that they are the best.Very stupid.Thing is people dint realize the hardship the others facing because of them.This is how they have brought from the childhood.Parent should be blamed for this kind of things.They have to teach their children How to behave in the world.Be reasonable to others.

i used to live in a flat a few years ago and the kid above used to play speed garage in to the early hours put i cured him of this by leaving my sega master sytem on playing the music from alex kid in miracle world full blast when i left for work at 6 in the morning thoughtless people never like getting what they dish out.

There are noise laws all over the country. There are limits as to volume and time of day. Call the cops and report them.

If it is bothering you, why would you go over and join in?
I'd ask them to turn it down to a reasonable level. If they do, fine. If they don't, you'll have to call the cops. This will make it a bit tense around there, so I'd only do it if it's really, really, necessary.

Tell them as nicely as you can that they are being too loud and if they can please keep the volume down and if they dont then you can join the party if they'e OK w/ it but if the music is for some of their religious activities then you can try and understand it then

Throw a bigger party and invite them over. Once you have gained their confidence explain the situation to them. Maybe they will respect you in the morning.

good set of ear plugs, headphones, would work... I would ask nicely first and then if it continues...do what you think is best. Neighbors are supposed to be considerate of others but not all of them are...
