last night my friend and i were locked out of her house around 7. so we had to sit there until 9:30 in her backyard. i have 72 mosquito bites- ive counted many times. most on my legs, arms, anklles and side. on my side there is a cluster of mosquito bites (cluster of 9) and 2 as big as a quarters. one with an opening in the middle(little hole). the opening looks like its bleeding, but its not. i am in terrible agony trying to scratch 72 extremly itchy mosquito bites. there are 2 more i have that are as big/bigger than quarters. one on my thigh, one my my shin. and there are atleast 30 that are as big as pennys. can i get any diseases from having these many mosquito bites? if you konw something that can help me please tell me. i'm so miserable. thanks <3dani

Start taking vitamin B, it's not going to help now but in the future it'll stop bites from happening. Apparently or at least according to my doctor, the vitamin B makes your blood taste and smell bad and as a result it is unappealing to those little blood suckers. An antihistamine (I use telfast the itchy skin rash/hives one) especially one designed for hives will help with the itching and should provided you don't scratch help with the healing time. Start putting tea tree oil or aloe vera on the bites too, it should help.

I wouldn't worry about diseases. About the only possibility for a disease is West Nile Disease, and the vast majority of people have no reaction to it.

So, do something about the histamine reaction and the itchiness. I recommend using Benadryl cream. You can buy at grocery stores or pharmacies off the counter. It will relieve the itching and reduce the red bumps.

Soak your body in an oatmeal bath (Aveeno is a good product) followed by some kind of anti-itch cream.

Good luck!
