welll, i think that if all she wants to do is look out the window then let her be.but if she is a shih-poo then that means that she is on the small side and you could bring some toys for her, but don't disctract the driver

I think if your dog just sits there and stares out the window that is the best you can hope for--anything else is going to be too distracting for the driver. The car isn't the place to play with a dog.

You could groom her, a nice brush massage will make almost any dog happy. Pretty much if she's looking out the window, it keeps her distracted. Maybe you should get some games or something for yourself though, you sound a little bored. Happy travels!

Convince your parents to let her steer.
Dress her in some really gay looking outfits and show her off to passing drivers.
Get her some aviator-style goggles and let her fly her ears out the window.
Try using sign language and exaggerated mouthing to teach passing motorists her breed-Shih-poo-over and over.
Engage her in a game of 'Slug-pug', a canine variant of a classic favorite travel game.

I assume you're not the one driving. Actually you shouldn't try to play with her or anything because it can be distracting to the driver. Her behavior is quite acceptable. Just make sure you stop every 2 hours or so so she can go to the bathroom (remember to pick up after her).

Leave her alone - just looking out the window and smelling different stuff is fun for her.

Nothing. Your dog should be safe and should be strapped in, just like you.
