What a weird homework assignment. However, I do not see anyone celebrating death. Even Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We celebrate that Jesus conquered the death.

don't think anyone celebrate when people die... you don't see people partying when their relatives die do you ?
what i seen is that buddhist conduct rituals to guide the dead to the underworld ... i don't understand the language they speak when they conduct the ritual .. but basically it's either they guide them to the underworld and make sure they don't get lost OR they pray for them in hope they reincarnate to a better form .....
thats what i think.
