Hiya

The Witnesses will go and speak to everyone that they can find.

Acts 10:34,35 ¨---'For a certainty I perceive that God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.¨¨

We do not discriminate against a person based on their racial , ethnic , religious or governmental background.

If a military person wishes to follow God then they must sever all of their ties with the armed forces.

You cant preach peace if you are preparing for war.

Often when explained the situation the appropriate govt department will cut short their duty time and allow the individual to leave in good standing according to law.

Everybody gets the opportunity to know Jehovah.
The God, said that.

Convert is YOUR word,
Not the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
That is not what Witnesses' are out there for.
Simply put, to tell others of the good news of God's Kingdom.
And His purposes for all of mankind.
Also, we offer a FREE home Bible study.
To have the opportunity to come to know
Jehovah & His Son, Jesus.
And the beautiful hope held out to mankind by God.
But that is all up to the householder.

J's Christian W's are conscientious objectors to serving in certain areas of the military and /or supporting it's causes.
As long as the required service does not conflict
w/ God's commands;
or the individual persons Bible trained conscience.
Then they would have no problem w/ the required service,
some countries it's required by law.
Otherwise, they will gladly, serve their time in prison.

Jehovah's Witness will knock on military personell's doors IF they reside off base.

One of the beliefs required to be a JW is to shun military service. They would file for conscientious objector status and be discharged. If they won't take up arms, best they become civilians.

They would if they could but sometimes they can't. Barracks are carefully guarded because they can't go letting any Tom, Dick or Harry wander around personnel's domestic quarters. But whenever they do meet military families, they try to spread their gospel to them just like they would anybody else.

Now, if a military person accepted their gospel and wanted to become a JW, there would be difficulties ahead. JWs are conscientious objectors to war, will not salute any national flag, nor sing anthems about Royalty. They refuse to baptize anybody who does not agree with all of their doctrine and practices. You can't even get baptized if you smoke tobacco! So I'm going to say that they would have to leave the military. (Perhaps if they were just, say, a cook in the canteen, they might not, but I'm guessing you mean soldiers.) The military accept people of all - or no - religion, but JWs only accept those who agree with them.
