The van has cold front and rear a/c. But only the front heater blows hot air. I have had the rear heater core changed and the system flushed. What other options are there.

There's probably a water flow control valve under the hood that diverts or shuts off coolant to the rear heater core when you operate the a/c---this valve is probably stuck closed or the cable or vacuum diaphram controlling it is bad or disconnected somehow causing no hot coolant to go to the rear heater core. Check with a dealer parts dept for a diagram of the valve, how it's controlled and it's location---could be in the rear by the core also.

Feel the heater hoses near the rear heater core. If they are not hot, look for a hot water shut off valve in the heater hoses. If they are hot, then there is no vacuum to the rear mode door actuator. They way those are designed, in the a/c mode, the air goes through the evaporator core, and come out of the registers. In the heat mode, the air goes through the heater core and comes out on the floor only. A vacuum controlled door selects between the two.
