your half right but half wrong am afraid. ignore the other people here, who say, "have you ever been to a muslim country?". What a stupid thing to say. There the same people who bang on about American troops in Iraq or Afghanistan but i´m sure they have never been there!
There are churches in a lot Muslims countries. Fact.
Apart from Saudi Arabia which has banned the ´promotion´ of ANY religion, albeit Christianity, Hinduism etc. Doesn´t make it right, but what can you do with such tossers?
It is also true though, that non-muslims living is Islamic countries do NOT have the same freedoms that Muslims have in non-muslims countries. Whether it is India or Britain.
That is the myth of Islamic tolerance. It doesn´t exsist and is made up by naive people who meet a muslim who they liked so decide to turn a blind eye to 7/11, 9/11, Madrid, Beslan etc
Christians and their churches are regularly attacked in muslims countries and ... the number of non-muslims living in Islamic countries is decreasing whilst the number of muslims living in non-muslim countries is increasing...FACT

Maybe you should get your facts straight before you post.I happen to live in a Muslim country that has a quite big church.I have also travel led to other Muslim countries where there are not only churches but temples for Hindus and statues of Buddhas. As for your comment about Islam being intolerant i give the following example:Palestine has major religious significance to Jews Christians and Muslims but at no time was the country ever at peace except when the Muslims ruled. They could have killed the others or forced them to convert but they didn't,they allowed they the freedom to chose their own beliefs.Islam is very tolerant except when being attacked/

Uh...WRONG.
Those would be the governments of the countries they reside in, which are very corrupt.
Muslims themselves are very tolerant of other faiths. Just look at their overall past. When they first took over Jerusalem during the fall of the Romans, they didn't force the christians or the jews to convert or leave, recognizing the ancestors and past their religions shared.
Then came the Crusades where the Christians came in and slaughtered anything and everything. No tolerance at all. (I'm not dissing Christians here, people. Just the history of the Crusades here) Well, after a long period of time, a Muslim general named Saladin managed to retake Jerusalem; once his army entered the city though, no one was harmed. He allowed all citizens, including the chrisitans, to stay and allowed them to continue practicing their own religion. In pure Islam, once what you seek to gain in war has been won, nothing/no one is to be harmed. You aren't even allowed to destroy trees in warfare.
I have no idea by what you're implying by prehistoric, and quite frankly, it just shows your ignorance to the history of religions in general.
The Muslims you speak of are the radical government officials of said countries; it can also be applied to individual Muslims who see their way as the only way--there are people like this in every religion though, so we can't really bash any one religion for that. Don't let governments' intolerance get confused with the actual beliefs of true Muslim people.

You're a bit off. Except for Saudi Arabia, most Muslim countries do have a limited number of churches. But you are right that they restrict the building of any new churches or stifle the preaching of any religion except Islam.
I guess that's how they keep people locked up in Islam under threat, even the ones who want to leave, something you don't find in Christianity today and yet Christianity grows in adherents esp in countries where persecution is rife!.

I agree, they are all brain washed zombies, not just Muslims, all religious sects.
But you are very wrong about not being other religions in Muslim states. There may not be a lot but there are churches etc... Most of these Muslim countries, it is illegal not to have a religion. Now that's screwed up!!

the biggest threat to world peace is islam.i agree they are the most intolerant religon.the over reaction to the cartoon in that newspaper was an indication of just how much they disrespect other cultures.ok they may not be allowed to make images of allah, but they must remember not everybody knows this ,and i think if this had been pointed out in a civilised way instead of rioting in the streets and threatening to kill all and sundry then maybe people would be a bit more tolerant.they always seem to overreact to any percieved slight to their religon wether it be deliberate or accidental.

Can't beleive that you jsut ask that kind of ignorant question.
Christianity itself refuse the acceptance of other gods other than God, and consider believing or worshiping other religion a sin. In the olden days, Christains crusaiders would go to other countries and rage war against other nations in the name of God - which by the way, is sinful for one of the ten commandment is "thou shall not take my name in vain" meaning that you should not use His name to do things, like killing people. Later, the Spanish inquisition killed many jews and other non christain believers in the middle ages if caught practicing religious rites other than that of christains, along with the Queen of Scott (Bloody Mary of England) who killed those who are not Roman Catholic in England.
Today, some form of Christianity or some that claims some horific actions in the name of God or bible still exists in America and Europe. These kind of intollerants and prehistoric actions happens in every country and in every religion.

Let me tell you something wrong with Christianity, some just want to be seen at church and then do as they please after. They're seen as a good Christian simply because they attend church regularly. My grandpa was a deacon at his Church, well respected, and liked. Then when he came home he would sexually abuse me more than he ever went to Church. Yet he remained a "good Christian" to all he knew. Which is part of the reason no one would believe me, they thought he couldn't possibly be doing that. I lived with it for years. Now I have post-traumatic-stress-disorder, (aka shell shock) and DID, (aka multiple personalities). What's worse is this good Christian didn't molest only me. It's just like I said, no one believed because he was obviously a good Christian. Sorry if I sound a bit bitter, didn't realize how mad I still am at the age of 50. I'm still working to undo all the harm he caused more than 40 years ago.
Peace

I'll tell you something wrong with Christians. They're bigoted, un-Christian and can't even be bothered to get their facts straight. There are many Muslim countries where Christians have the right to practise their religion. A born Christian can practise Christianity in Iran. People converting from Islam to Christianity are dealt with severely.
But do tell me, when did you last meet a 'Christian' who followed the teachings of Christ: religious tolerance, humility, forgiveness and various other human rights questions?

What ever happened to freedom of religion there is good and bad in every religion. I am not a christian I am a Pagan. I have many Muslim friends who treat me with utter respect. Pitty I can't say the same thing for some Christians.
