I lived in this spirit world some are alluding to. I gave 37 years of my life to belief in God and that Jesus was my savior. I searched deep inside to find verification, ever cautious not to "test" God. I finally realized everything I believed was false. That my arguments for God were based on my want to believe in him. I did not have any (proof) He was there I just wanted to believe it. Had he really been there he would not have let me go so easily.
There is a reason it was thought that seeing God would kill you. That only one "priest" was aloud in the room with God. Was so that no one would find out that there was not anything there.
THERE IS NO GOD. anyone who believes that there is denys there own senses physical or otherwise is a FOOL.
Santa Clause is more real than God.

You are correct to say that if God does not exist, then there isn't anything that can prove this non-existence. And any 'proof' offered to 'prove' his existence would be twisted proof. Your logic is flawless - up to that point.
When you then assume that the only thing we have to determine dreams from reality is our sensory ability, you are on shaky ground. Have you never had a dream that was so vivid, so real, you were convinced it was reality - so that when you awoke you couldn't believe you'd been dreaming? Have a chat with a Buddhist about that sort of thing! You might not be able to handle it, though!
What God did after creating a sensory universe was to provide a written record that just makes the assertion that 'In the beginning God created...' No proof is offered, other than the sensory universe itself. You can take it, or you can leave it. God - being God - is not obliged to prove himself to anyone! If he created a sensory universe, and you with all your senses cannot make sense of that, then you have a problem. Believers in God know that you reckon it's the other way around, but we can take it with good grace. Your idea of proof is not our idea of proof because we have faith, which puts the universe and everything in it in an entirely different light. Faith is something God gives to those who ask him. It's the kind of proof you scoff at, but until you receive with faith you cannot possibly do otherwise.

"He/she would know that we need these sense to survive. why would he/she ask us to abandon them and believe in something that requires no PROOF from any of those senses?"
No, God never said you had to abandon your senses to find Him, He just said "seek and you shall find".
Were you not aware that there is another sense within you not relate to the 5 senses you mentioned? When you say we use these senses to "let us know we are awake", you speak of yourself as if you are apart from your 5 senses. If that's all we are, then what "we" are you talking about? Yes, that's right, the other part of you NOT connected to your senses.
I'd ask you to replace "God" with "love" in your question and see if it flies the same. Not really huh. Love cannot be proven, only the biological responses to it. Yet it exists, we all know it does.
Btw, God is love.

Since you are using senses, how about for those of us that are Christians who have a sense of peace from our faith. But if you are seeking a practical answer, we can see God's wondorous works, hear the sounds of nature to know that God created birds, babies crying, etc. The wonderful smell of spring with flowers blooming and honey suckle. Taste the incredible bounty that God has given us to eat to sustain life. And of course touch a newborn and know that this was a gift from God as no primordial ooze could have possibly created such a beautiful creature as an innocent child.

Despite the fact that we are in a "world" from which we receive sensory input from our senses, we have an innate sense of who we really are. This gets interpreted in many ways, including the belief in a higher power or powers. The program is set up in such a way so as to make us believe it is really happening. The purpose is to gain knowledge by experiencing feelings and emotions in response to various created scenerios.

this is one version of the account. yet another is that the "apparition of Mary" replaced into purely lights, that's what the photographic evidence shows. you will additionally observe that there is not any good historic evidence helping any of your different claims: not the Muslim bloodbath (a city talked approximately as Zeitun did journey one - in 1948, not 1968), not the President's presence. All that befell in Zeitoun replaced into the visual attraction of a few lights. non secular human beings claimed they have been a miracle. some went so some distance as to declare they observed the Virgin in them. UFOlogoists declare that they have been reason through extraterrestrial beings. this is the priority with anecdotal evidence - it particularly is heavily tainted through the viewer's preconceptions. No 2 human beings on the scene would desire to later agree on what they observed. Assuming this wasn't a planned hoax, the lights would have been "earthquake lights", a thoroughly organic phenomena. We purely do not comprehend. plenty extra uncomplicated than saying "it particularly is evidence of my faith" whilst ignoring the plain loss of evidence on your declare.

Well, with your assumption right off the bat that "proof" is something as "mythical" as God, you certainly seem to know what it is you're not trying to say, because I sure as hell don't.
Proof is mythical? Ooooookaaaayyyyy.

What I have to determine dream from real is 12 witnesses of which many wrote about God in the Holy Bible. In addition to the 12 disciples I have many prophets who had direct experience with God. I even have historians such as Josephus who wrote about a man called Jesus that did many miracles and many people saw wondrous things.
Use your senses to read the Holy Bible. Jesus said, "Man can't live by bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." God left you His word, be respectful enough to read it. There is nothing wrong with saying, "God if you are real, make yourself known to me." God wants to make Himself known to us.
