that would make you believe?
Serious question, please no nasty comments to others, and no 'THAT WOULDN'T HAPPEN BECAUSE'. I would like to know your honest opinion, that one thing?

Locust, I use the word deity as to include all, if you like, a God, if it makes you feel better.

batgirl2good, hmmm, because I believe that to simply say nothing is to not consider the question, however I see and respect the fact if that is someones opinion. Most of the the non-belivers have offered an answer. The believer that answered as you stated 'not to wake up in Heaven, shows that he/she has at least some thought on the matter.

Hm...if I could see God/Jesus/or some other form of deity, without me using any sort of drugs, and that I'm actually sane, come up to me saying, I'm right, you're wrong, in actual physical sense, not metaphysical. But other than some sort of burning bush talking to me, once again without drugs and me being perfectly sane (which is a matter of debate right now...) nothing would get me to believe...Like what Megatron said, it's like asking a 35 year old to believe in the tooth fairy, when the 35 year old in question saw his mom switch the tooth for a quarter all those years ago....just my opinion...

I have seen a lot. I believe there is a god. But past that not to sure what.
I mean people everyday bring us up or down on the chart of what to and what not to believe. If the bible or the Koran didn't exist would anyone believe? And if they did what would they believe in or who.
I am not questioning god as much as our beliefs. And who tells us what to believe.
Good Question though

Proof is all I ask. It seems that proof is the only thing I can't have.
If the bible was written by God....I'd believe.
All I have to go by is the word of men claiming that they were spoken to by God.
I look around the world we live in, and the word of men is about the last thing I would trust.
It's a realisation I came too long ago. Not one I was happy to make either.

I'm not sure exactly what event would convince me that it was a god acting and not, say, advanced aliens, but i do know that if there is a god, he would certianly know the answer (that is what being a god involves). given that thing (whatever it is) has never happened I can only assume one of two realities
1) that god does not exist
or
2) that god does exist, but wishes to remain hidden from me.

How can you ask a question like this and then tell us that we cannot answer "Nothing"?
Sorry, but that IS my answer.
Nothing would end my belief, except, as someone said, "I die and do not wake up in Heaven."

Any number of things. If a deity existed and had any of the powers that believers allege, it really shouldn't be that difficult for him to provide unmistakable tangible proof of his existence.

As a non-believer I would believe in god if there is indisputable creditable proof of his existence and he has to prove that he is the almighty god able to do the things that he did according to the bible.

In a deity? Proof. But there's a difference between deities and gods.

The one thing that would make me believe in a god is proof, plain and simple. And by proof, I don't mean "it says so in the bible".

If a Deity spoke to me, I might believe it, assuming I know I have no mental ilness.
