Perhaps she discovered that she'd just swapped one kind of oppression for another. Her love for this other guy might have been intact, but her previous experience might have taught her that it could crumble if she stayed. Who knows? You don't. I don't. I just wonder why you posted this on the R&S site. Immorality brings its own particular problems, which the Bible warns about, but forgiveness and healing are available for all who truly repent and seek God's forgiveness. Can you pray for your friend, and this unhappy situation?

Whoa...
First of all, you are not in the relationship so you are likely seeing only a portion of the entire picture.
Second, there's no such thing as demon possession. Newsflash - people are actually responsible for what they do. Imagine that.
Third, it's not your place to diagnose someone with a mental illness... it's judgmental, sanctimonious and at best unwise.

ah yes of course, satan that's the guy to blame for all the evils in the world, what other possible, plausible explanation could there be. I mean it can not be mental illness after all the devil works in strange ways.

Unfortunately issues like that are often left a mystery.

We can only know if she honestly share all with us. ( we do know that something was not right). Lets all hope that she is in a safe and happy place, some where she can sort her trouble out.

No-body can ever know everything that goes on in someone else's mind.
She obviously wasn't happy, and has moved on.
I don't know the rights and wrongs, and neither will you I suspect.

Just because she misses her family and wants to go home does not mean that she is suffering from bipolar.
