And where have you been most disappointed with?
The nicest place I have ever visited was Budapest. Such a beautiful city, lovely climate (in May). I stayed there for a few days when I was travelling to Romania to do some charity work and fell in love with the place. But also I love Turunc in Turkey for beach holidays.
I was really disappointed with Rome, too touristy, too many beggars, the Trevi fountain is tiny and the colesseum wasn't as grand as I expected it to be. Lovely people though.
Worst beach holiday was Tenerife - horrible place

Ooh not been to kusadasi yet - I will add it to my list of places in Turkey to go to. I've been coming to Turkey for 12 years and it will probably take me about another 40 to see all the wonderful places that people have mentioned.

Blunt I-run - Bologna is where my surname (family name) origiantes from although when the people first came over with this name centuries ago the native English found it difficult to say it so it has changed over the years.

Why do I have to make one of them 'the best'!
I think New York City is very unique and has a beauty of it's own. If I were young, I would probably spend a few years there. Also Stratford-on-Avon is a beautiful town. Who wouldn't want to live in a town that still breathes Shakespeare :) Cambridge is lovely and I could smell science, culture and education in every street there. I saw some small towns/villages in USA which were beautiful.
Although I wouldn't want to live in it for long, Istanbul is the most enchanting city I have seen. A Turkish poet called it 'the virgin of thousand husbands'. I also loved the towns on the Black Sea coast of Turkey (Unye, Fatsa, Ordu etc.)

I have been to a few places buy I liked Athens most.
It was like İzmir and İstanbul mixed. Just replace the people with Greek ones :)
I felt so comfortable there. Warm people, beautiful history and great food.
The only thing freaked me out was when the taxi stopped and picked a man while I was also in it. I thought I was being kidnapped!! :). When the driver and the guy saw that I panicked- I panic very easily BTW :)- they explained that, it is normal for Athens. This explanation still didn't help my tensed muscles until I got out of it though :)

I have only been to Köln and Bologna for business. All of the people I have met were friendly. I loved the lunch I had in a tiny restaurant in a small town. I think I would have been disappointed if I had gone as a tourist. I don't like "touristy" places and atmospheres.

For me it's Baku - Because of its people, why? I've stayed there for some time to get to know the Azeris for who they are and not only from a tourists point of view.
Disappointed with? Hmmm, I've never been disappointed with another country other than my own. Especially when I see that beautiful new and modern aiport that has not been operating owing to political maneuvering & court litigations. We citizens have to contend with an airport which is like a blast from the 70's.
By the way, Sidray, you're from Davao and you only say nice city and fruits? Although Manila isn't my cup of tea but it definite is better than Davao. Apart from it being small and less developed, most of the bombings are concentrated in Davao. In Metro Manila, the better cities is not the capital I'm afraid but outlying cities namely Quezon City (former capital), Makati, San Juan and Pasig.
Never visit in Manila? Hmmm, your English sounds like a typical filipino, but if you're a foreigner, it shouldn't be the case. I hope you're not a troll pretending to be a filipino are you?

Well Turkey! I'm Turkish and I love it there, a little place called "Kus Adasi" (translated in English means "Bird Island") is great for vacations. You can just rent a house and enjoy the beach. If you get tired of that, there's like a city down there.
Great place, great ice cream : )

Oh yeah, America is so great. down south people reproduce like a bunch of hillbilly hamsters, our teenagers are taking the morning after pills, people here can't survive if they don't have an iphone in their hand 24/7, and the girls here look more like plastic than human.

Now that i am just a visitor in my own country i will mention her name:) Turkey:)
BEsides Turkey I think the loveliest country i have ever been is Italy. People were nice, lively and funny.
I am dissapointed with France most. People are annoying, life is boring and it is not beautiful.
edit: If you come to Istanbul i am there in summers you are welcome i will be happy to be your tour guide.

St.Maarten, Caribbean as it is always sunny, nice beaches, scuba diving, great night life.
Worst place is Paris because of the airport.
