I'm a little confused why you find this mind boggling. Do you find it's weird he is a male and has HPV? If so, then you might want to research a little more about the virus.

Men CAN have HPV. The virus has nothing to do with whether you are a male or female. How do you think women get the virus?

I have had HPV for 6+ years. My fiance has had it about a year and 1/2. We have BOTH had genital warts from it and I have had cervical cancer from it.

A lot of men (and women) have the virus and are just unaware of it because they don't have any signs or symptoms. And, because there is no test to detect HPV in men they usually don't find out they have HPV until they develop genital warts (if they ever do) or their girlfriend or wife has contracted HPV (from them of course).

Men can also develop penile and anal cancer from HPV. Although it's pretty rare, and not nearly as common as cervical cancer, it sill happens. Take care!

Short of being diligent about protection and telling his partners about his condition there is nothing much he can do now that he is infected. Human Papilloma Virus can be symptom free for many people. If there are growths he should consider having them examined by a doctor because they could just be warts or something else. Take a look at the cdc site:

HPV is human papilloma virus and MALE or FEMALE can get it. It is a very common virus that causes warts, genital warts and every other type of wart that you can possible get. There is a cream called Aldara cream and it will make them go away and also most hpv infections clear up on their own and do not recur

Being properly knowledgeable and "smart" has not something to do with what somebody else (husband) would ought to do with this. you are able to not tell what's inisde someones bodies purely through their GPA and ethic. those are 2 different ends of the spectrum. I surely have continuously used condoms, in no way been on start administration and that i've got HPv. you will get this virus purely through fondling and enjoying. Get the shot. shop a existence!!
