I'll bet you mean chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher mix? If you are correct and I am wrong, wow, what a combo, and I do not mean that in a good way....Is it a miniature pinscher (10lbs -lap dog) or a doberman Pinscher(50 lbs -very big lap dog)
There is a huge difference between miniature pinschers(there is no such thing as a miniature *doberman* pinscher) and Doberman pinschers, their looks resemble each other, but one is not really a miniature version of the other genetically. They are 2 very seperate breeds.

That seems like a fatal mix and almost impossible.
Are you sure it isn't a Miniature Pincher / Chihuahua mix?
Typically known as a Min Pin, it is not a Miniature Doberman. It is a different breed but with similar markings.
How much does Chico weigh at 4 months old?

first off, do you mean chihuahua*/miniature pinscher mix? a doberman and a miniature pinscher are completely different and are not from the same line. a doberman is a 28in. working dog and a miniature pinscher is a terrier type of dog. with that said, i have a pure breed chihuahua, fawn, 7yrs, female. and a pure bred doberman pinscher, black n rust, male, 1.5 yrs. and they are the best ^.^

With the size difference between a dobe and a chi I really don't think that is at all possible. Are you maybe referring to a chihuahua/miniature pinscher mix?
I have three minpins right now, Cocoa, Shelby and Oscar. I also have a manchester terrier named Nicky.
My herding dogs are Sophie, my aussie, Violet, my sheltie, and Pepper, my australian cattle dog.
They range from 1 year old to 10 years old.
Minpins are sometimes bred with chis to downsize the breed. They end up being much tinier than pins, and they usually have the chi "bug eyes". Our rescue group can tell the difference right away with these mixes.

You have moved north when it is cold and the dogs have neither the coat nor the pads on their feet developed to protect them from that. It might be better next winter, although you have two slender, short-hair dogs, but for now you need to add what nature did not see the need to where you were before! Yes, go for the 'booties' and the coats and play with the dogs as much as possible in the house to give them exercise before spring warms things up! Good luck!
