I believe in this healing power coming from God. Jesus was a healer and He told his disciples to continue His work. Would you agree we have healers among us like this man?

Even Jesus had his enemies, what to say about an ordinary man...

Healing can be done by prayers and though someone's faith. However, some mediums need to lay hands on the patients and put on all that show for one reason... and the reason is that's the way we believe... As human beings, we tend to doubt what our eyes can't see. God has a purpose on putting people like John of God in a situation like that. He wants to reach people's heart. How did people believe in Jesus? By seing with their own eyes the miracles He was performing. If Jesus never used this kind of stuff, would people believe solely on what he was saying?
John of God is famous because people witness and give testimony. If one gets healed, it is natural to spread the news and it gets even bigger stuff with the media help. However, that doesn't mean he looks forward to fame. He see hundreds of people per day, working hard for hours and hours, he provides food for everyone and does everything for free. I refuse to accept the idea this is demon stuff, when all he does is help people.

That is different.... and if it's through God it is possible.
I have, or God has heal through the name of Jesus Christ, as long as you have faith and if that is the gift God has chosen for you.
My sons mother came back for a short time, she had this very large bump on her neck for three months, I put my hand on her neck and said in the name of Jesus Christ, heal in the name of Christ and Almighty God...... in two days it was completely gone.
Another woman that I have talked with only on the computer. she had a large cancerous bump near her spine and brain. She said that the doctors can't do anything for her, so I prayed with her for three months on the computer. She said that since we have been praying and every time that she went back to the doctors for check ups, that the cancerous bump has gone down...smaller every time. It was almost gone, but I never heard back since my girlfriend had chased her away.
All these things happen in the pass seven years. There was this minster that got very ill, I prayed over him, he got better within a week.
There was this man that had a bad seizure, I put my hands on him, and was praying, he com down, and stop shaken, when rescue came and said for me to move away, he started to shake violently again.
Before I started to pray for people, before all them things had happen....... I was in my back yard, my girlfriend pick up this dead bird, and it did look dead. She put it in my hand, the bird flew off. I didn't pray or anything..... either the bird was knocked out or the Lord was telling me what he has in plan for me.
I now work at a hospital, I didn't like my job at first, and since I work as a float, I get around. I get to see all the patients, some ask me questions and I answer them, giving them hope and comfort, and I pray for them:) Perhaps this is where God is using me.

It's fake.
Among the most outrageous—and dangerous— hoaxes is a phoney healing procedure in which a practitioner appears to reach into a patient's body, without benefit of scalpel or anesthesia, to remove "tumors" and other diseased tissue. Common to Brazil and the Philippines, psychic surgery is actually produced by sleight of hand. Animal tissue and blood are used to give a realistic appearance, while a patient's fleshy midriff helps create the illusion that the surgeon's fingers have actually penetrated the body. Tragically, many of the patients, or victims, of the psychic surgeons have died within a year or so of the trick procedure.

Keep this in mind anytime so-called "religious" stuff like this pops up:
If it's new, it aint true and if it's true, it aint new.
We don't need some new experience to confirm to ourselves or anyone else that we are worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth. God has already given us all we need.
Why is this man taking the glory for himself? Is it not God who gives the healing? Give the glory to God. What did Jesus do when someone was healed through Him? He told them, Go and make sure that you DO NOT tell anyone about this. Jesus was not in it for the glory and fame it could bring Him, He gave all the glory to His Father, to whom the glory rightfully belongs.
God bless you.

...I have been a party to and have been witness to healing...but, and it's a very big "but",...it was not and can not be done successfully through slight of hand by such scam artists as John of God...it was through faith, scripture reading and prayer...some are healed while still in the earthly plain and some are healed after they've left this earth and gone on to another spiritual realm,...in a word, Heaven...my late husband, for instance, died from cancer, even after many earthly prayers and laying on of hands was done for him...for a time after that, I doubted the power of healing, however, I've come to understand that not all human afflictions are healed while still living on earth...many are healed as they cross over....so, essentially, all who have prayed for and believe in healing are healed as a part of the Family of God...not from one man claiming to be John of God

I think that guy is practicing the same type of "magic" that happens in many places. He says he channels spirits, which is against God's laws.
I do believe that there are healers, but I don't believe that guy is one of them.

False. Chris Angel of Mind Freak has shown this to be a complete hoax. Do not believe it. It is done with chicken liver and red dye.

Personally, I thought James Randi debunked "Psychic surgery" by showing how you can reproduce the same exact acts with stage magic. Does this prove it's impossible? No, but to me it seems much, much more believable to think that this was all sleight-of-hand and placebo effects.

John of God claims his power comes from spirits of dead doctors. No question that this healing is not from God, This man is using occult (demonic) powers to effect healings.

But if people are made well, I am pleased! Personally I just pray, and God does miracles.

"John of God" is NOT the "greatest healer in 2,000 years", or even in this one year. The person who holds that title is not in Brazil.
