What kinds of stores sell vegetarian foods? i mean a large selection of vegetarian type foods and possibly some vegan type stores. walmart and jewel just don't carry alot at all. how about somewhere with organic and natural products? somewhere not to expensive too.

There's Whole Foods, of course. And if you go to www.happycow.net, you can find vegetarian restaurants and health food stores in your area.

Asian grocery stores and produce stores are great resources in any state when in search of vegetarian faire. I am not familiar with Illinois but an online search for those two types of stores in your area should produce some results.
