I was already vegetarian. The McDonald's Chicken Head Incident and reading "Fast Food Nation" eventually pushed me into going vegetarian.

It is entertainment, nothing more and nothing less. Just like movies, TV shows, and "reality" TV shows like American Idol, they are here to entertain us. So you think wrestling is fake huh? It is scripted, just like any major blockbuster movie. So the WWE sometimes "plants" fans in the crowd you say? Do you really think that the idiots who can't sing get on national tv on American Idol without help from the writers of the show? Wrong! They put them on there because they know people will watch and, surprise, get more ratings. As Mr. McMahon says, It Is All About The Monayyyyyyy!!!!! Get a life and go watch something that you like if you don't like wrestling. Like Ellen or Dr. Phil. I mean, he is a real doctor right???????

It didn't make me a vegetarian, but I haven't eaten at McDonald's since that movie came out, and I really cut down on fast food after I saw it. I was eating fast food 5 times a week (I worked next door to a Wendy's), but after I saw Super Size Me, that number dropped to maybe 4-5 times a month.
The movie that really got me thinking about vegetarianism was Fast Food Nation. After seeing the movie, I read the book, and was really too grossed out to eat a lot of meat. After I saw FFN, more than half of my meals were vegetarian.
What made me become a vegetarian is that I donated blood, and they did a complementary cholesterol check. My total cholesterol was more than 100 points over normal, so I stopped eating meat entirely.
I thought that once my cholesterol was back to normal that I would start eating meat again, but then I saw Meat Your Meat and Earthlings. Now that I really know what goes on, even looking at meat kind of makes me sick.

No, I didn't go veggie over it. But I've avoided fast food restaurants as much as possible. It wasn't just the meat that made me sick. It was ALL of it. The fries, the large cola... I haven't seen that movie in years, but I shudder even thinking of it now.

ha. no. my friend and i actually watched the movie while eating some mcdonalds. we thought it might be fun. i was just happy we finished before the guy started throwing up his food.
most of the food people eat is processed and bad for them, mcdonalds or not. one movie probably wont change anyones opinion in the way our country eats in general.

no, that movie just made me give up all fast foods. what made me become vegetarian was the clip, meet your meat. basically introducing you to the animals you eat daily. it was the part about how much healthier being a vegetarian was that made me decide then and there to give up meet.
