In Revelations 19:10, 11 we read, "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war."

Jesus is the essence of FAITH. He is the only One who is Faithful. In Mark 4:40 the Bible states, "And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?"

In Matthew 17:20 we read, "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

Notice that God says, "If ye had faith...." suggesting that unsaved man has no saving faith, ie., no Christ.

Now go to Romans 10:17 where we read, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Replace the word "faith" with Christ or Jesus and see what you get?

Christ comes by hearing the word of God IF God has elected to save a person (Ephesians 1:3-5). Only God can open our spiritual "ears to hear" because man is spiritually DEAD (Ephesians 2:1-3) in sins and trespasses.

Now go to Hebrews 11 starting with verse 4 and everywhere you see the word "faith" insert Christ there... Did you ever see this before?

You can also go through the entire book of Romans and where you see the word "faith" insert Christ or Jesus there. Did you ever see this before??

subwayxyz-the Bible is the authority, not your pastor. The Lord tells us NOT to trust in man (Jeremiah 17:5). That is why He gave the command to "search the Scriptures (John 5:39; 2 Timothy 2:15). Ask the Lord to teach you (Psalm 25:5; Psalm 86:11; Psalm 119:12, 26, 33, 64, 66, 68, 124, 135; Psalm 143:10.

Little Lamb-I appreciate your answer but Jesus is God. We ought to bow down before Him. In fact the Bible says, "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God." (Romans 14:11). Check out www.FamilyRadio.com. They have a book called, "First Principles Of Bible Study." You can read it online or ask them to send it to you--it is FREE. May the Lord bless you!

Romans 11:8
(According as it is written, GOD hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) UNTO THIS DAY.

Matthew 13:16
But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

I Timothy 2:
3: For this is good & acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
4: Who will have all men to be saved, & come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5: For there is one God, & one mediator between God & men, the man Christ Jesus:
6: Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

It's basically saying that faith is the only way that anyone will ne guaranteed a spot in heaven. These references is proving that faith is the only way for eternal life.

If you have more questions it's best to talk to your preacher and try to research the information yourself.

Oh! Jesus DID say not to bow down and worship Him!!! Oh how humble my Lord my Saviour be. I LOVE my Jesus and I do worship Him, but He doesn't want me to bow down to His feet. Why oh why, does the Pope want everyone to bow down to him??? Should not the pope be the humble servant? That is why I LOVE Jesus!
