I don't want something where everyone has to sit down together at one time. Maybe something where you get clues to solve a mystery when you arrive and you have to meet the other guests and ask them questions.

People Bingo. Create a 5 x 5 square grid (like a bingo card). But instead of numbers and letters - you ask a question that someone must initial. The center box can be Free. You can be as outrageous as you want. and even add bonus points. First person to fill sheet wins or set a time limit and the person with most points (each box worth 5 points plus any bonus points earned) wins.
Here are some sample questions to get you started:
Person wearing boxers (+5 if the prove it)
Person born on the same day of the month as you were (each born on the 15th of the month)
Member of opposite sex with a tattoo that is covered by clothing (+5 if they show it to you)
Get someone to tell you their most embassing moment in jr. hi. (+15 points if you get them to reinact it for you using props found in the room )

Write down names of something, movie stars, states, animals, whatever you like, and put them on stickers. put a sticker on each guests back, then they can walk around & ask other guests yes or no questions about who or what they are.
