yippees to those who think they are reading your message and not comprehending it!!

I too am taking about 25 units of Lantus every morning and 2+ units of Humalog with meals or when my glucose is over 126.

Contact the Prescription Assist Program of Aventis for assistance with your Lantus. They may be able to help witht he fast acting insulin also. Just google Aventis or Lantus for connection.

You are gonna have to get to a doctor. Have you tried the clinics? Another friend said some churches hold free clinics or pay as you can clinics. No insurance is a huge problem for many.

You should not be eating any and everything. You could probably use less fast acting insulin if you ate low carb food plan.

getting more of the test strips is gonna be really $$$. do try to find a clinic that will pro-rate some of the meds you need.

I am not sure if you are type 1 or 2. My daughter is type 1, so I have some experience. First, if you have type 1, contact the Juvenile Diabetes association...link is below. They will talk to you online and help you work out the best situation. If you have type 2 also called adult onset, contact the American Diabetes Association, linked below. The is free help out there, and you need to get some pros involved. Good luck and good health, and there is now a inhaled insulin coming on the market, which my daughter thinks is way cool. The future is looking so good for treating and soon curing this tough condition.

Yes this can be very bad for you. How are you regulating your amounts? are you just guessing? You need to watch what you eat, not just eat whatever you want. Even though you are taking insulin, this does not allow you to eat anything and everything in whatever amounts you want. Are you on long acting insulin along with your short? If not then there is another problem. How are your blood sugars running since you have been doing this? Look into medicaid, the take diabetic no matter the age, as you need to see a Diabetes Endocrinologist. Please take this seriously as it can mean life or death, and even the quality of your life in your later years.

I'm not a physician, but I am in the health and wellness industry. Insulin is not something to be played with. I would highly recommend that you monitor your blood sugar levels before just guessing when you need insulin.

You know, I have a friend who is a type II diabetic, and has reduced her insulin use by using a nutritional cleansing product called Isagenix. That might help you keep your blood sugar in check.
