I wonder how many genius meaters watched it and took it seriously.

They all throw red paint on anyone that doesn't agree with them and they care about animals more than people. That's why they marry them, am I right?

Make an @ss out of yourself all you want, it's a "free country", right?

It's pretty sad to see someone offended by this. I guess they did take it seriously and now they are a little butt-hurt. =)

I adore Southpark.
It has brilliant satire and social commentary, and it is hilarious as all get-out .

My favorite episodes are probably "The Return of the Lord of the Rings to the Two Towers Video Store" and the one where they are all playing that Internet video game that has the song "Live to Win."

But of course, I have to laugh at the ones that make fun of my categories as well. They make fun of everyone.

Even my goat husband loves that episode.

South Park Peta

Yeah, I saw that. South Park has a lot of propaganda about things I don't agree with. Sometimes I feel like they are trying to force some kind of Conservative agenda. I can't remember the show ever making fun of Republicans, they make fun of Democrats and Liberals all the time. Sometimes I think it's funny, sometimes I think it's irritating; but hey, it's just a cartoon. Free speech is free speech, I guess.

The Michael Jackson episode is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

I'm vegetarian, but I'm not so sure about PETA sometimes; it's inevitable that somebody will make fun of them.

Yeah, some people might take it seriously, but those people can't be very bright.

I really love that episode--not so much for the PETA parts, but the "vote or die" theme, especially the "let's get out and vote" song. South Park makes fun of everyone, so if you can't laugh at your own group when they're the target then you shouldn't laugh at any of their stuff.

Case in point: Isaac Hayes had no problem with SP mocking other religions, but he was so offended that he left the show when they picked on (actually, told the truth about) Scientology.

Do you know that PeTA has never thrown red paint on anyone? I guess that's just an urban legend...I've looked through all of the PeTA sites and can't find any incident were they have, they say they've thrown pie...but never red paint.i'm petty sure that's just an urban legend,I remember seeing an episode Simpsons where Bart wants to join the NRA,but Marge won't let him,the Bart says "Why can't I join NRA but Lisa can join PeTA?" Then it cuts away to a scene of Lisa running on the red carpet to throw paint on a person wearing a fur coat.

I'm sure most people have just "heard" that PeTA throws red paint on people and actually believe it without seeing if it's true or not.I'd like to see a video...even if one PeTA member has thrown paint on someone,I doubt PeTA would actually encourag people telling them to go out and throw paint on people with fur coats.

I think they marry them because they actually care about animal rights...Stan says he loves animals..but not like they do.I'm sure most people do consider themselves as animal lovers...but they consider PeTA members to love animals TOO much because they actually go out and protest and try and do something for them.

I seen the episode and it is pretty funny. I am not sure about knee jerk eractions. Unfortunately, PETA can such an inflammatory group that is what turns people off. You cannot change people's thinking by going out and commiting terrorists acts. That being said I am sure there are alot of people who are in PETA that would not commit such horrendous crimes but as with anything else you have a few radicals that make everyone look bad. The same could be said for GreenPeace, Prolifers, NRA, Ect. ect.

I find there are lots of meat-eater knee jerk reactions to PETA stories.

So not doubt some will use it as "evidence" that the whole veggie/vegan thing is hypocrisy itself. They somehow believe that becasue PETA are reported as doing something then we all blindly agree with it.

Do we say "OJ" is a meat eater therefore all meateaters are armed robbers ?

No, not really
