First, you really have to really truly want to quit. Also, don't believe all the hype about how you are addicted and only a magic pill will help you. What my husband and I did, we set a date in the future and that was the day we would quit. It was in Oct. and we planned on Jan. 1. By the time Jan. 1 arrived, we were ready to go and it was quite easy as we were both ready even tho we had smoked the night before. Everyday after that, we put aside the money that we would have used to smoke and took a nice vacation in the smokey mountains of N.C. What a nice reward for deciding to get healthy again and you can do it too. Good luck.

My mom is taking Chantrix and it appears to be working well for her. She has smoked for, I'm guessing, the better part of 40 years. She hasnt quit yet but has gone from 1-2 packs a day to 5 cigarettes aday at most. Her problem is will power but it is keeping her cravings down.
Good luck!

I tried the gum too but failed! Then I tried the patches with great success. I've been nicotine free for 8 years now. You really have to WANT to quit because if you are not really ready you will fail. Also if you do try the patches make sure you get the right size patch. Good Luck!
