I remember that I loved Можайское молоко ("milk of Mozhaysk"). What exactly is added to it to give it that incredible taste? (It's not baked milk, by the way; baked milk tastes different.)

if that's okay with you!) ;)

It's just sterilized milk.

Sometimes, such processing breaks down the lactose in the milk and makes it taste much sweeter; it also lasts longer than ordinary pasteurized milk (in the US, we refer to it as "Ultra-Pasteurized"). You can get a similar taste from condensed milk, though it might be richer than you're used to having. A lactose-free milk might taste similar to what you're used to.

Skaizun is right. If you were curious why processed milk is sweeter, it's because lactose breaks down into glucose and galactose, and glucose is sweeter than lactose.

Pound for pound, if you give lactose a sweetness of 1, maltose is 2, glucose is 4, sucrose is 6 and fructose is 9. So, 1 teaspoon of pure fructose has the same sweetness as 9 teaspoons of lactose!
