So last night my son was trying to help me unclog the bathroom sink drain. He mixed bleach, grease lightning cleaner, and the works toilet bowl cleaner, and fantastic cleaner. So he comes down and says I think I did something wrong the sink is smoking. I went up stairs and had to try and clean it out. When I did I breathed in the chemical mixture and now my chest burns, my throat hurts and my nose is cloged. Is there anything I can do to help the symtoms go away and stop the burning in my throat and chest?

The following information is from this link:
http://www.chlorineinstitute.org/files/PDFs/ChlorineEffectsOnHealth.pdf
If you don't have Acrobat reader, here is the important text from that PDF file:

First Aid for Chlorine Inhalation

Prompt action is essential. Remove the
exposed person to fresh air and summon
professional medical assistance immediately. If
breathing has ceased, begin artificial respiration.
Trained personnel should administer oxygen as
soon as possible.

If breathing, the person should be placed in a
comfortable position, either seated in a chair or, in
severe cases, lying down with the head and body
trunk elevated at a 45- to 60-degree angle.
Encourage the person to take slow, deep, regular
breaths. Administer oxygen as soon as possible.
Keep the person warm and at rest.

Get to a doctor! You should never mix chemicals to begin with. But anyways, if it was me I would not be sitting around at my computer, I'd be on my way to Urgent Care or at least on the phone to my family doctor!

You need to go to an urgent care or your PCP. Take the bottle with you so they can pull any MSDS info on it. The chemicals he mixed with bleach are very caustic & can actually have a cumulative burning affect on the lungs. Please, please go to a doctor RIGHT AWAY !!!!
