Has anyone had bacteria vaginosis? And if so is it recurring? Also-why would I get it so often when I do take ALL of my medication when I get it, but it comes back after every period and even more. Besides all the presriptions/medication you get to cure it from the gyno, what other things can be done or taken to prevent this? It is so annoying and I get it constantly.

I wear tampons at first and when my period becomes lighter I wear pantiliners.

I change my tampon everytime I use the restroom-which is about every hour. I clean myself after intercourse. I only have one partner, we are both very clean and have good hygiene. And yes-I change my underwear daily.

There this product on line called Enzara, it works really good. I had that stuff all the time, to make this full proof drink lots of water and it'll be gone in about three of for days. No prescription needed Thank G!

Are you still using pads during your period? That is what is causing the recurrence of the bacteria.
My step-daughter goes through this every month. Both doctor and I have explained that you need to change the pad more often and try to change it during the night, also. All the bacteria is sitting up close to your body while you sleep and it has no where else to go!
Try to change more often and change during the night. See if that helps hon. I know it is no fun to be going through this. Maybe a change to tampons would help, if you can do that right now?
Then if that is the case, I would suspect a deodorant in the pantyliner or a deodorant soap or fragranced soap that you are using. Try not to use them and don't take baths! During a bath, your vagina can "take in" the bubbles or soap or even the dirty water and some women are very suseptible to bacterial infections from baths. Maybe that is the problem?~

Prevention
Good hygiene may prevent some types of vaginitis from recurring and may relieve some symptoms:
* Avoid baths, hot tubs and whirlpool spas. Rinse soap from your outer genital area after a shower, and dry the area well to prevent irritation. Don't use scented or harsh soaps, such as those with deodorant or antibacterial action.
* Avoid irritants. These include scented tampons and pads.
* Wipe from front to back after using the toilet. Doing so avoids spreading fecal bacteria to your vagina.
Other things that may help prevent vaginitis include:
* Don't douche. Your vagina doesn't require cleansing other than normal bathing. Repetitive douching disrupts the normal organisms that live in the vagina and can actually increase your risk of vaginal infection. Douching won't clear up a vaginal infection.
* Use a male latex condom. This helps avoid infections spread by sexual contact.
* Wear cotton underwear and pantyhose with a cotton crotch. Don't wear underwear to bed. Yeast thrives in moist environments.
* Eat yogurt that contains active lactobacillus cultures. This sometimes may help reduce recurrent vaginal yeast infections. Lactobacillus is a type of "good" bacteria that's common in your vagina.

It could very well be any of the options mentioned above. As a rule, if a woman experiences chronic, recurring bacterial vaginosis or chronic, recurring yeast infections as a precaution I always suggest an HIV test.
One of the first signs/symtoms that can appear in women who are HIV+ is chronic, recurring, hard to treat infections (bacterial/yeast). Chances are you don't have it, but a test never hurts.
By the way, many physicians don't think of this and often don't suggest HIV testing in women. I have had a few clients who weren't diagnosed as being HIV+ until they were dying of AIDS in the hospital because the physicians missed classic symptoms of advanced HIV disease in the women. Frustrating!

Although not my forte, I have become a little familiar w/ BV. Many medications resolve the issue, but none really permanent. Maybe using a sitz bath ( a pan about the size of a litter tray filled with a blend of epsom salt and a little white vinegar) and soaking the affected area thrice weekly would help. Fill the pan, place in the tub, and sit in it.
Hope this helps

well, if you use sex toys of any sort, you need to be cleaning them before and after each use with a mild bleach and water solution. If you are active sexually, you need to make sure your partner cleans himself before and after, and if you engage in oral sex, then your partner needs to clean his teeth and use mouthwash before engaging in that activity.
Bacterial vaginosis is caused by bacteria....bacteria proliferate in poor hygienic situations.
Also, change your underwear daily, and since you say it happens after every period, I suspect that you are not changing your pads or tampons often enough, they should be changed every two hours tops.

I have never had it , but I know you do not get it by being sexual!!!!
I heard that you get it by like using powder , deodorant, or perfumes around your vagina!
Just make sure that after you shower that you do not use any of that stuff to try and smell good!So yes it can come back even after you take your medication if you are still using them deodorizers around your vagina!

get the person you are having sex with to get medication because they maybe spreading it to you, and are you sure its Bacteria Vaginosis, and not Trichamonisis? They have almost similar symptoms. Trich dosen't have to occur just threw sexual activities, it can also occur from too much masturbation, and your vagina not being lubricated enough.

I am not an expert but maybe there is an imbalance of the good bacteria and bad bacteria. If it were me, I'd look into holistic alternatives.
