if you have an open wound and their infected blood comes in contact with your wound then yes its possible but if you touch their blood and you have no cuts or wounds then you dont have to worry. You can always get tested at a clinic for free if you are worried

Its like most have said, you simply can not get AIDS from just touching infected blood, there has to be an entry point on your own body like a cut so the infected blood could enter your blood stream, and then it's still not a sure thing. The only other information I can give you is that it may be possible for the infection to enter you own body if it comes into contact with your eyes. I'm not 100% on that one but eye protection seems to be a big thing that most fire departments are pushing now in addition to gloves.

Any time you come in contact with blood or body fluids of an infected person your in danger. You would have to have a cut or open sore or some way for the virus to enter the bloodstream. The problem is you can have small cuts or cracks from dry skin that you don't even realize you have. It can be any break in the skin. It would not matter if they are family or not.

AIDS has nothing to do with blood type. You don't get it just by being related to someone. Here is a list of things that can cause a transfer of the AIDS or HIV virus...
1. Getting infected blood into a cut YOU have
2. Oral sex, unprotected sex, and possible protected sex
3. Drinking infected blood (I know...gross....)

Sharing a cigarette, hugging, holding hands...not possible.
If you ever change any type of bloody bandage on anyone whether you know them or not ALWAYS use gloves and make sure to wash your hands well. To clean up blood use bleach.

You cannot get HIV that way. The fact that your blood is "similar" changes nothing. You would need more than a cut on your hand too. As was said the infected blood would have to get into your body, and it would have to be a lot that got into your body. A cut on your body would have blood pushing out and so it's unlikely that any, let alone enough, would get into your body. Blood transfusion, sharing needles, and any kind of sex are the common ways that HIV is transmitted.

no no no ..aids ISN'T something that happens when blood mixes together. you can only transmit it if a person is already infected . And if your parents did have it I doubt you can get it (aids) from just touching blood. You would have to have an open cut too...so the infected blood could get in your blood stream

I don't know what the same kind of blood has to do with it, children can have different types than parents. BUT, if the parent has AIDS & you touch it & have an open sore or cut, it's possible. Doesn't sound probable though.

Only if you yourself have a cut and made blood to blood contact. The virus needs an entry to enter your blood stream. The chances are still very small. Aids are more difficult to contract from blood to blood (except blood transfusion) than ppl think.

The infected blood has to get into your bloodstream. If you have an open cut and aids infected blood gets on your wound or into your mouth (saliva) you stand the risk of contracting. Look up AIDS online and learn about it instead of going by supposition and superstition.

Look up the truth and LEARN.

Only if you have a cut or an open wound. Also you would have to press your wound on the infected blood as the Aids virus dies when exposed to air.
