large, becaues its a chance to meet a lot more people and they're usually more fun.

Small, for sure. Haven't you ever been to one of those large parties where all you do is make inconsequential small talk all night long. How boring and exhausting! Better a small dinner party where you really get to know people. Or a party where you play charades, or fictionary, or any number of other dinner table games. Much more fun when everybody's attention is on the same thing.

I prefer small because, to me, they're more personal and organized. Interesting, too, because while it is true that one can meet more people at a larger party, I believe that a more meaningful connection can be made at a smaller one.

I like both. I think if you want to chit chat, then a smaller party is more intimate and perfect for that. But if you want to party and dance, then a larger party is more suitable.

small....because they are more intimate and you can really get to know the people that you meet. They are also a lot more subdued and quiet.
